Recommended for most stores
- Supports automatic card updates, reducing failed or declined transactions.
- Allows customers to use accelerated checkouts like Shop Pay, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and PayPal.
- Some stores may only allow Shop Pay for subscription purchases.
- Apple Pay support is limited to Visa and Mastercard for subscriptions.
PayPal Express
- Customers can check out using PayPal Express or their PayPal wallet.
- Note: Third-party transaction fees apply if Shopify Payments is not enabled on your store.
Authorize.net
- PayPal is the only supported wallet option.
- Google Pay and Apple Pay are not supported for subscriptions via Authorize.net.
Adyen
- Supports standard subscription payments.
- Wallet compatibility and regional availability may vary.
Stripe
- Available to select merchants only.
- May be usable as a wallet option for stores not eligible for Shopify Payments.
- Feature availability depends on your region and account settings.
Note: Payment gateway support may vary based on your store’s region, currency, and Shopify’s terms of service. Ensure that your selected gateway is fully compatible with Shopify Subscriptions Policy before configuring it.
